WORK DONE:
Carrying out Material Inspections & Quality Surveillance Inspections for about 250 plants with plenty of different products (Electrical, Mechanical, Steel, Cement, Plastics, Ceramics & Wood items) as a third party inspection and for Bureau of Indian Standards on their (ISI) Licensees.
RESPONSIBILTIES AS A THIRD PARTY:
Inspect the Lot offered with respect to the inspection call placed including RM Consumed, Storage, Segregation and check the records for the same.
Check the products conformity in accordance with P.O., GTP, Drawings and ISS approved by the consignee.
Check records of testing and calibration of instruments and sign in all relevants.
Draw samples according to the sampling plan and test in the factory for conformity to the specifications. For testing in Outside laboratory if necessary.
Issue Inspection certificate if everything found proper. Otherwise cancel the call or reject the Lot.
Report daily movements to the controlling officer.

RESPONSIBILTIES FOR BIS AUDITS:
Receipt of Inspections schedule from BIS and to maintain/plan & update the schedule frequently.
Inspect the factory with respect to RM, storage, manufacturing process, stage inspections and check the records for the same.
Check availability of STI and relevant IS and compliance of test procedures mentioned there in.
Check records of production, dispatches, testing and calibration of instruments and sign in all relevants.
Check whether any change in manufacturing and testing equipments/personnel.
Draw sample at random and test in the factory for conformity to the specifications. Another sample for testing in an independent laboratory.
Any discrepancies observed, point out in the D/V report with comments and agreed corrective actions to be made by the firm.
Submit the completed inspection reports to BIS office.
Report daily movements to the controlling officer.
