Job responsibilities and projects handled:
Value Engineer:
Semi-Conductor Ion-Implanter and Tester Machines.
Objective lies in, studying the existing Designs / Parts for Functionality, Reducing costs & Performance improvement. Analyze the present Designs, functionality and develop concepts with the aim to reduce cost / performance improvements there by increasing value of part / Design. Part designs include Plastic, Sheet Metal, Die cast and machined components. Knowledge of SOM, DFMA (Plastics, Sheet Metal, and Die Cast), GD & T, Material knowledge along with vendor sourcing knowledge, is the basis for the project. Job responsibility starts with Identifying the design / parts, Study the parts with the scope of increasing value, Develop different concepts, Make prototype and testing, Present the concept to the Technical board (Consist of cross functional team members), Reliability testing (if required), Modeling, detailing and release of documents. Intralink, Pro-E is the tool used.

Tool Engineer:
Designing of Plastic Injection molds and Press tools using Pro/E wildfire V2.0. Extraction of core and cavity is done in PRO/MOLD, assembly of mold components is done using Expert Mold Base extension (EMX) software.

Job responsibilities:
Tool Engineer:
Designing of Plastic molds, Press tools, and Jigs and Fixtures using Pro/E wildfire V2.0.Extraction of core and cavity is done in PRO/MOLD, assembly of mold components is done using Expert Mold Base extension (EMX) software and follow-up of the tool up to customer end approval.
Projects handled SDF (2-Pole Assembly), S-Brakes, DC-contactor, and Citation Overload Relay.
Tool plan activity:
Study of individual components in the project, know the complexity, decide the lead time of the tool completion as well decide the parting surface and number of tools. Prepare the monthly schedules and interact with all team members and convey the complete design inputs and encourage them to meet the schedule in time.
