Duties & Responsibilities:
In Production Phase:
• Responsible for the optimum production of pipes with required quality parameters.
• Sound operation of all the machines with minimum down time.
• To ensure that all the critical process parameters are being monitored and recorded in the shift log sheets.
• Discuss production plan with plant manager and ensure that the desired level of production is achieved in the shift.
• Adjustment of machine parameters and settings to solve any operational problem in machines and to improve the quality of product.
• Development and implementation of routine maintenance plan of all the machines

In Project Phase
• Engineering Design
o Review consultant submitted work, civil, mechanical and process control aspects of technical design, drawings (piping plans & isometrics, civil structural etc) and specification.
o Engineering estimates (civil and mechanical BOQ) and recommend adjustment as appropriate

• Erection Supervision:
o Errection of all extrusion lines as per drawings.
o Prepare scope of work, schedule, and plan and execute in order to meet an agreed program of deadline.
o To ensure all the works (civil & mechanical) at site are as per drawings and specifications
o Progress reports on fortnightly basis to keep executive project committee informed about project progress.
o Supervise and monitor the site work force and sub-contractors.
o Installation of water and pneumatic pipelines as per isometric drawings and specification
o Errection of utilities section involving chillers, compressors and cooling towers.
o Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that arise during erection.

• Commissioning & Startup:
o Identify and remove the process deficiencies
o Commissioning of extrusion lines including test the function of electrical, pneumatic and control elements of the machines including PLC based automatic thickness and weight controller.
o Identify problems of machines and resolve them with the help of concerned department.
o Commissioning of Chillers and Compressor, hydro pressure testing of all the pipe lines.
o Upon completion of commissioning, successful startup of all the machines.

• Health & Safety
o Implementation of OHSE for the safety of workers during construction and production phase.
o Study of MSDS of all the raw materials and suggest the safety measures during production and material handling.
o Designate the place of different extinguishers and DPC trolleys.
o Arrange training of manager staff and workers about use of fire extinguishers.
