Assist in planning for new tools in consultation with the Mould Planner, as required.
Provide quotations for new tooling, modifications and repairs.
Compile the quotes, create statements and communicate the necessary to the Projects team for negotiation and releasing of PO for the tools. o Follow-up with the vendors for obtaining tool (i.e., rubber, drums, accessories) sample and send to R&D for approval.
Conduct minor corrections to the procured new tools (i.e., moulds) to suit with the existing moulds in the plant and request the Quality team for inspection. o Conduct inventory of the tools as required as per the production plan and release it to the manufacturing units.
Ensure all stock items, tool inserts and spares are properly stored, preserved and organised.
Ensure zero loss or damage and optimum utilisation for all tools issued. o Ensure safety measures are necessarily followed by the team and take initiative to enhance acceptance of safety. o Report and prepare RCAs in case of accidents.
Maintain mould history cards and review records of all work carried out on each of the moulds.
Maintain and update operating & training manuals.
Monitoring customer complaints (Related to Tool& fixtures) and effective corrective actions, as not to recur the problem.
Assisting in the Trials of Press tools Fixtures Developments as per Production Requirements & sub sequence modification
Improvement projects with Quality & NPD CFT
Spare monitoring and spare follow-up with vendors (wire cutting, hardening, CNC, CG & various processes)
