Job Responsibilities
Ensure that all required maintenance data to manage the Continuing Airworthiness functions are available and revision status is up to date, at all times.
Ensure that all maintenance data received are assessed, evaluated and suitable action taken to ensure continuing airworthiness of the aircraft managed by the organization.
Preparation of Aircraft Maintenance Programme for aircraft managed and submits the same to Regional Airworthiness Office for initial approval.
Carryout analysis of the effectiveness of the aircraft maintenance programme pertaining to the aircraft used for commercial air transport and take necessary action.
Accurate data input of maintenance programme into the Microsoft Excel sheet/ software or equivalent maintenance tracking system for maintenance forecasting.
Monitoring of all maintenance requirements to ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out within the stipulated limit.
Planning of all scheduled maintenance in terms of movement of aircraft to maintenance facility, spares, consumables required for carrying out the maintenance.
Release of periodic work order list generated from software to appropriately approved maintenance organization for carrying out scheduled maintenance.
Ensure that maintenance of aircraft used for commercial air transport and components thereof are carried out by a CAR-145 approved maintenance organization.
Coordinate scheduled maintenance, application of airworthiness directives, replacement of service life limited parts and component inspection to ensure that the work is carried out properly within the stipulated time period and meets the Standards established under CAR-M and CAR-145.
Ensuring that all maintenance carried out is properly documented in appropriate logbooks, history cards and maintains status of compliance to the aircraft maintenance programme.
Status records are maintained for Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, DGCA Mandatory modifications, Service Life Limit / Time between Overhaul components, scheduled inspections and regulatory requirements.
Present the continuing airworthiness records to DGCA / Owner / Auditors on request.
Measures mandated by DGCA in immediate reaction to a safety problem or operational directive with continuing airworthiness impact are carried out immediately or within the prescribed time limit.
Directives which are repetitive in nature are incorporated in the maintenance programme for continuous compliance. Modifications and repairs (changes) are carried out to an approved standard i.a.w CAR-21 / AAC 2 of 2013 or equivalent.
All the defects discovered during maintenance or reported while in operation are recorded, reported, investigated, rectified & analyzed by an appropriately approved maintenance organization / licensed person, as applicable.
Report to DGCA / TC Holder and if applicable, the Airworthiness Authority of the state of registry (of foreign registered aircraft) of any identified condition of an aircraft or a component which endangers flight safety i.a.w Mandatory Occurrence Reporting procedure.
Reporting of any operational / maintenance occurrences to DGCA, TC Holder and the owner.
Ensure that the technical follow up is done with TC Holder, Airworthiness authority, maintenance organization on issues requiring technical clarifications.
Procurement of Items/ spares/ consumables require to maintain stock or to be used during the maintenance on the Aircraft.
