Company Profile: Manufacturer of seats and seating systems for both automotive and non-automotive applications. manufactures, driver seats for commercial vehicles, buses, tractors, off-road vehicles, cars, multi-utility vehicles, two wheeler and three wheeler segments; passenger seats for buses, cars, multi-utility vehicles and three wheeler segments; and seating systems to the railway and auditorium segment.
Job Profile:
Development of sheet metal, tubular, plastics, rubber and machining components.
Handling new projects from its inception stage, preparing tool development activity time chart for the project, monitoring the same on a weekly basis, suggest course correction in case of delay and ensuring timelines are managed and met.
Exploring information online, interacting with supplier/designer and evolving innovative ideas to be incorporated in the tool design.
Design Review of all new projects with CFT members and to raise the change request for design & material change intended
Development of parts for specified category & Costing/Cost settlement within
budgetary norms
Identify the new source based on the new program requirement.
To carry out the supplier evaluation and audit with CFT.
Getting project budget approval from BPN to Project kick off.
Tooling concept finalization and part development with supplier and Mass production readiness
Tool / Part cost finalization and Negotiation with supplier.
Sign off the individual tool development plan with supplier and monitoring the same to achieve the customer time line.
Meet the part as per design requirement and get approval from CQA team.
Supplier PPAP audit with QA team and PSW approval.
Tool buy off sign off in the supplier place and handover the project to purchase team.
Responsible for identifying continuous improvement in supplier area.
Engg change management with minimum obsolescence
Additional Accomplishments:
Facilitator for Quality Control Circle Team & successfully implemented 24 projects in 3 years with a cost saving of 12 Lakhs.
Implemented VA VE 09 projects with the cost saving of 1.2cr in 2015-16
