Tool Engineering:
Leading as a Engineer & Operators handling the Design, manufacture and maintenance of Mould/ blow mould/ Press Tools, Jigs & Fixtures, Injection Moulds of Thermoplastic, Thermostat components, Transfer and Compression Moulds, Pressure Die Casting Dies and.
Estimating the tool costs, reducing the lead-time of the tool manufacturing.
Selecting the suitable machinery for the expansion of tool room.
Managing the Tool Stores having over 6200 tools.
Production Planning & Control:
Managing production operations involving preparation of production plans & schedules with a view to ensure timely accomplishment of production targets within the set parameters.
Preparing the project schedules and communicating it to the subordinates to meet the targets.
Identifying areas of obstruction/bottlenecks and taking steps to rectify it.
Estimating costs for various jobs depending on the process.
Process Engineering & Improvement:
Focusing on optimisation of process parameters and initiating process improvements.
Conducting process audits; reviewing existing processes and re-designing the same for enhancing operational efficacy and achieving maximum cost savings.
Ensuring the effective utilisation of machines (72-78% based on 24x7).
Maintenance Operations:
Managing the functions of troubleshooting and preventive / breakdown maintenance of Utilities and Preventive Maintenance so as to reduce downtime to minimum.
Vendor Development:
Developing and negotiating with vendors for procuring materials at reasonable price.
Liaising with the vendors, providing technical specifications on various products & ascertaining adherence to the same.
