Responsibilities:
Production, Planning, Labour control, Quality, Factory Maintenance, Product and Factory development, Inspector of Factories.
Annual Budget planning for production, raw materials, toolings and moulds, maintenance spares, consumables.
Safety, Transfers, Follow-up with vendors.
Improve production performance, efficiency and utilization. reduce rejection and downtime.
Significant deliverables:
Successfully planned and executed production for nearly 500 components with 17 Injection moulding machines, 150 sizes of ABS rods and tubes and CA tubes in 3 Extruders, around 350 different types of PVC blisters in Thermoforming machine.
Identified and provided safety equipments and safety guards.
Modified the treasury tag component from 4 cavity to a progressive type of moulding, which resulted in saving in thread cost, reduced labour and increased productivity.
Developed new Blister forming and blanking dies for various products.
Designed and developed 4 strand extrusion die from single strand die.
Reduced the rejection to 2 % in CA tube processing from 10 %.
Colour Head component’s gate design and position was relocated which resulted in defect free component.
Suggested for changing the ABS material to PC/ABS blend for high stiffness and good plating property which was highly appreciated.
Developed automated ultrasonic welding from manual adhesion, resulted in improved quality product with reduced labour and cycle time.

Sri Vinayaga Plastics are basically manufacturer of various plastic household and engineering components. They have subsequently expanded their business to making new development and projects related to plastics in other fields.
Significant deliverables:
Successfully developed an innovative product, Plastic coating in arbor of grinding wheels for M/s. Carborundum Universal Ltd. (Bonded), Hosur.(First of its kind in the world). Converted conventional method of painting the arbor to maintain bore diameter by plastic coating using nylon material, Insert moulding machine and intelligent mould.
This technological up gradation gave our customer.

Reduced manpower.
Increased life of the wheel.
Higher Productivity.
Lesser cost.
This achievement was complemented by M/s. Carborundum Universal Ltd, (Bonded) by investing Rs 30 lakhs and gave job work of plastic coating on grinding wheels in house to Sri Vinayaga Plastics.
Water level float for CRI Pumps, Coimbatore, India. using horizontal injection moulding machine and vertical insert moulding machine thereby ensured arrest of water seepage into the float.
Designed and developed a professional user friendly robust design box for a government organization M/s. Indian Immunological Institute, Hyderabad, India for their Abayarab (Rabies Medicine) boxes. Unlike earlier box with lid and bottom attached and no separations for medicines and syringes. We separated lid and bottom and provided locks and partitions for syringes and medicines.
Developed enclosures for 150 varieties of End Yokes and Companion flanges for M/s. Spicer India Ltd, Hosur, India (Dana Group) to avoid scratches while transportation.
Designed and developed Seal kit rings of high accuracy for Earth movers made of Polyurethane, Delrin, Nylon.
Completed these projects in time through proper planning and coordination with staffs and suppliers.

An Limited company, Manufacturer various commercial plastic injection moulded household products like Chairs , containers, microwave oven containers, idly trays and engineering products for Nyproforbes Ltd, Harita Seating systems Ltd, Fiem Industries Ltd, Hosur.
Significant deliverables:
Resourcefully handled production through systematic planning and coordinating well with other departments and effective utilization of manpower.
Brought a significant improvement in quality, productivity and profitability.
Streamlined the system of in process inspection report, wastage control, rejection control by educating operators and following ISO system.
Avoided degating by converting edge gates to submarine gates. Converted many moulds to fully automatic ones.
Corrected all moulds for flashes, as a result increased production, quality and reduced rejections, wastages and manpower. Reduced wastages from 5% to 0.5%. Recycled all the runners, lums and re used by systematic segregation.
Ensured supply of quality components to customers in time. Controlled the process by control plans.
Changed the lid material from PP to random PP to get more clarity.
A bend in Nylon 6,6 component rectified by making a fixture and perform orientation process.
Quality of PC lens improved by changing the gate design and providing proper venting.

A Plastic industry manufacturing both injection moulded engineering Components and PVC Profiles in extrusion for BPL Sanyo and OEN Connectors.
Significant deliverables:
Effectively produced PVC profiles with local conventional extruder. Improved quality and surface finish by adding lubricant Stearic acid.
Introduced pneumatic release of core puller in the rectifier mould. Maintained process settings, mould settings.
