Job Profile:
Underwent hands on and theortical training from two German Engineers sent by Bekum Germany during the machine installation, commissioning and commercial production. Total duration 3 months
Spent the next 6 months to get better understanding on the function and operation of the machine through daily commercail production of the co-extruded (multi layer) containers.
Spent the next 3 months learning about quality control procedures and operate the special Micro-tome machines and microscope to determine that all the layers within the container are corect and within standards set. Learn
and help to set up in-process quality assurance system to be implemented.
Concentrate on learning how to operate the Krauss Maffei German Injection moulding section for the first 3 months.
Understand the design of the imported moulds from Switzerland and Europe so that they can be maintained at regular intervals.
Conduct training for the machine operators and general workers to handle the injection and blow moulded parts.
Having understood the process, production and quality requirements for the production of the co-extruded containers, took steps to design a new Operating Procedure and System for the Blow Moulding and Injection Moulding Sections
Involved in the audit conducted by Customers on the products to be supplied to the Customer’s companies.
Helped to set up additional Quality Assurance procedures and control required during the audit conducted by the Customer’s audit team to comply with their requirements
Learnt about the functions and design of both the moulds for Injection Moulding and Blow Moulding to optimise the quality, productivity and cost of the products produced form these moulds
Received further training from the Bekum German Engineers that were sent to conduct refresher courses and review the procedures and systems adopted by the company.
Studied and understood the Management Philosophy and work out a program for self-improvement to contribute more positively towards the productivity and Quality Standards of the company.
Exposed to Factory adminstration and learnt how to organise the work flow, encourage the right attitude of the machine operators and general workers.
Involved with the administrative system for production and Stock Control. Learn and be involved with stock counts, stock reports and the preparation of Production, Stock and other reports as part of the Management Information System.
Learnt how to operate the computer and prepare monthly reports for management information.
Exposed to Material management. Learn all about the polymers used in te production process so that the properties from these polymers can be optimised to perform the required functions for the customers
Helped to develop improved mould designs for both the Blow moulding and injection Moulding to achieve higher output, productivity and lower investment costs
Involved in developing new product designs that meet customers exacting demands and requirements.
