Job Profile:
Plan, implement, Supervise and control manufacturing activities in the production plant to meet the market requirements in a most cost effective way
Responsible for all Quality standards, production targets, Health and safety standards in the production plant complying to Company standards and statutory laws
Actively involved in consulting internal and external production departments to optimize the manufacturing operations and improving quality standards.

Job Responsibilities and Authorities:
Co-ordination of Production:
Plan and schedule production as per Sales planning demand in a most cost effective way and with in the production lead times
Provide customer requirement and product specification to the sourcing unit and production department
Work closely with the sourcing and SCM department to ensure correct supply of Raw materials in JIT
Active participation in technical and commercial discussions with internal and external production departments.

Labour Management:
Recruit, train the production personnel to maintain an effective operation at an optimal cost (in close co-ordination with the HR-department)
Responsible for production and labour costs.

Warehousing Activities:
Align and optimize internal processes to ensure smooth and cost-effective warehouse operations
To guide and conduct process improvements projects to improve Production, service and reduce the production cost
Supervise and Manage the operational efficiency of the Logistics service provider.

Quality:
Work in close co-ordination with the Quality control department to ensure pre and post production quality standards to deliver un- compromising quality to the Global Customers.

Planned Maintenance:
Strictly adhering to the comprehensive Planned Maintenance schedule for all the equipments and ensuring flawless operations of the equipments round the year
Track material usage variances and devise a plan to reduce the variances
Periodic monitoring of Budgeted costing against the variances and Suggesting suitable corrective measures.

Stock:
Responsible for Lean inventory of all raw material at the plant
Ensuring minimum Working Capital requirement through JIT with active participation of all supply chain partners
Conducting stock Audit on Half-yearly basis and analyzing the variances.

Capex:
Responsible for planning Capex to improve and maintain the standard of operation (SOP) for full implementation of capital Expenditure
Responsible for the maintenance of the Asset register of the plant equipments.

Product Development:
Work with product Development and technical team to re-engineer the present products both technically, commercially and to plan the development of short, medium and long term product.

Plant Management:
Responsible for the plant integrity and security
Responsible Single point of contact for the entire organization related to Plant management.
Plant housekeeping is maintained to the Best in Class industry Standards at all times
Active participation in the Management review meetings.

Equipments Handled:
Cooling tower, Steam boiler, Electronic Soft Starter for heavy duty motors, EOT Cranes, Fork Lift, Mobile Cranes, Water softener plant.
