Company Profile: Capability provider of Automotive Lighting for four wheeler and two wheeler application serving automobile manufacturers in India as well as abroad. Company has technical and Financial collaboration with Japanese company in vehicle lighting and illumination products for automobile. The company has 18 injection moulding machines ranging from 180 T to 800T. The company has implemented SAP for overall monitoring of the departments. The company follows the following quality systems like QS9000, Six-Sigma, JIT, 5S, TS(16949). Customers include TATA MOTORS, Mahindra and Mahindra, Bajaj etc.
Job Profile:
To maintain overall planning of the production for mould shop, surface treatment department and assembly department.
To prepare the monthly schedule, weekly schedule and daily schedule for the entire plant. This is done by getting the schedule from the customers.
To monitor the stock at the OEM’S which include Tata Motors (Car Plant And Truck Plant), Mahindra And Mahindra. Succeeded in maintaining stock level for minimum 2 days at the customer end. To daily interact with customer end for stock position.
To monitor the daily sale value by proper planning and coordination with all departments.
Additional responsibility involved planning for spare parts for Tata Motors, Mahindra and market dispatch. The sale value for both spares and market touched 1 crore for 1st quarter.
Interaction with dispatch department for logistics activities.

Member-Production
From October 2005 to September 2006
Tata Auto Components Systems Ltd.
The company has got technical collaboration with “ Sommer Allibert” of France.The company is basically into manufacturing of plastic interior and exterior components for passenger vehicles comprising of:
a) Dashboards b) consoles c) pillars d) package trays etc.
The basic infrastructure include nine L&T injection moulding machines ranging from 60T to 650T.and one double barrel injection moulding(140T) machine. There is Air-Vent assembly shop. The company follows the following quality systems like QS9000, Six-Sigma, IT, 5S, TS (16949).The company is planning to implement robots and Quick Magnetic Clamping devices
Responsibilities include:
Daily planning of machine wise production with the standard cycle time.
Capacity Planning : This includes proving of the mould for significant run on the given machine for uninterrupted run.(without any down time). This also involves preparation of OEE Sheets, downtime reports.
Daily Planning for packing materials required for moulded components by keeping minimum inventory of three days.
Manpower Planning for both moulding and assembly.
Continuous Improvement programme which included doing online assembly online and there by reducing the removing and packing time of the moulded component.
Involved in 5S activity.
Dispatch of finished goods with Bar Coding.
Processing material Used:
The following type of raw materials were used for processing of different components.These are: PolyProplene(TF 20%) from Dow, Exon
Nylon –GF 43% and 15%, Estane (PU), PA+ABS, PC+ABS, POM(Delrin)
Moulds Used were as follows:
The moulds were all hot sprue and textured moulds

Production Engineer
From August 1998 to September 2005
Zenna Plastics Ltd.,Tarapur
The company is basically into manufacturing of flip top type of caps, Screw caps, Pilfer proof type of caps and caters to the needs of MNC’S like HLL, Johnson and Johnson, Ranbaxy, Lupin, Dey’s Medicals etc. The company is also engaged in manufacture of lipstick components for cosmetic companies like L’Oreal, Avon Beauty products, Lissome, Revlon etc.
The basic infrastructure includes injection moulding machines like LT Detech, LT Ergotech, Cincinati sigma.In all there are 16 injection moulding machines which are all PLC driven. There are other ancillaries like compressors, driers, Air Handling Unit, Lathe etc.
Responsibilities include:-
Implementing ISO 9001:2000 procedures for the company thereby making the company an ISO certified company, certifying body being DNV. The company has got CE certification by the same auditing body for supplying of medical devices to Pharma companies. Responsible for improving the monthly turnover of the company from 60lacs to 1 crore. This was achieved by reducing the down time involved with moulds and with machines. Other developments included by procuring moulds with increased cavities and also installing new machines.
Production, Planning and control which involved meeting the production target of customers by setting the jobs on preferred basis on the required machines and setting the targets which should be completed in stipulated time. The job also involved to improve production by proper process optimization and by proper maintenance of machine and moulds.
Planning , Procurement and follow up for material required for production.
Inventory planning and control regarding work in progress Inventory, finished goods inventory were also done.
Raw Material planning i.e planning of daily consumption, preparing stock, was done.
Dispatch of finished goods.

Processing material Used:
The following type of raw materials were used for processing of different components. These are:
PP based raw material like PPH110MA, PPH020EG, PPR120MK. The raw material is procured from Reliance Industries for Flip Top Caps, Screw Caps, Pilfer Proof Caps and Containers.
LDPE (Grade 16MA400), HDPE(Grade 50MA180) for different Pilfer rings.
SAN (Grade AS2300), ABS(920P), DELRIN and Styrene based raw materials like GPPS, HIPS.

Moulds Used were as follows:
Mould involved Hot runner type mould with hydraulic motor core pulling, Pneumatic ejection together with parallel type operation.
Hydro Motor type core pulling mould.
Electric motor type core pulling moulds with cam type adjustment for setting the orientation of threaded core
Simple Knock type ejector moulds.
Coupled ejector type moulds.

Project Engineer
From July. 1995 to Sep. 1997
Vidyut Metallics Ltd., Thane.
Responsibilities include:-
The job involved in ‘Vendor Development’ for the setting up of Davy Cold Rolling Mill for which various vendors had to be developed depending upon their technical capabilities. The job also included project planning and production planning related to the performance of the above mill. Also to coordinate with various departments associated with the project.





Future Goals

To make the company where I am working into a diversified conglomerate and to install satisfaction in the employees as well as the customer.
