JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for determination of Composition (Mol%) & Calorific Value of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) received from Spot Cargo as per SPA between buyer & seller.
Review of LNG Sale Purchase Agreement (SPA) during new contract and comments on Measurement, Analysis & Calculation, if required.
Synchronization of online Gas Chromatographs with Laboratory portable Gas chromatographs.
Liaises with operations & Custom for routine / non-routine analysis and communication of results.
Responsible for Calibration & maintenance of Lab Equipments including Gas Chromatographs.
Conducting Linearity & Correlation Tests between PLL & Ras Gas, Qatar to check the performance level of GCs.
Verification of Composition (Mol%) & Calorific Value of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) received from ship during unloading as well as metering, with modern analytical instrument like Gas Chromatographs (Agilent Technologies 6890N & Perkin Elmer ARNEL Clarus 500).
Analysis of different water samples namely Glycol water, Hot water, Cooling water and specially Potable water to check pH, Conductivity, Turbidity, Free chlorine, Total Hardness, Alkalinity etc for meeting statutory requirements.
Analysis of Moisture content of pipe line using Dew point meter
Environmental Monitoring such as Ambient Temp.(Min. & Max.), Rainfall, Relative Humidity etc.
Periodical inspection of corrosion coupon & suggests remedial solution to monitor Corrosion in Glycol water & Hot water system.
Ensuring fulfillments of Audit requirements of ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:1996 & OHSAS 18001:1999.

ACHIEVEMENTS:
Recommendation of composite sampling procedure for more accuracy in energy balance was suggested by me, in suggestion scheme. This modification is under the process of implementation.
Recommendation of alternate Corrosion Inhibitor to reduce Corrosion in Glycol water system.
I had visited Ras Gas, Qatar to witness loading, composition & BTU Quantity of LNG delivered in 10th LNG Cargo Disha on 03-04th June 2004.
I acquired India’s 1st LNG Terminal Q.C. Laboratory commissioning experience certificate from IHI, TEC, TEIL, BNI Consortium.
