Company Profile: Manufacturer of Polyether Polyols, Polycarbonate Polyol, Polymer Polyol, Prepolymers & Polyester Polyols with the Blended PU systems.
Job Profile:
Technical support to the customers, related to formulation development for PU applications.
Maintaining relationships with customers from Chemical, Automotive, Refrigerator, Furniture & Sandwich panel industries to ensure a committed tailor product according to their specifications.
Communicating with persons involved in production of commercial run about reaction behavior and safety implementations, sampling, charging & discharging, storage conditions, control samples, validation of batches and about transit trials.
Design and development of molecules with varying molecular weight range for polyester and polyether resins for foam, paint, elastomeric and adhesive applications.
Scale-up for different polyester, polyether polyol and prepolymer from lab to pilot and from pilot to plant/product commercialization.
Coordination with supply chain people and make appropriate inventory of raw materials required for future pilot and plant batches.
PU foam for flexible slab stock, HR molded, comfort, memory foam for automotive, furniture and cushioning applications, rigid PU foam for continuous and discontinuous panels for insulation purpose. Semi rigid foam/integrated skin foam for headliner applications.
Prefer independently working, especially when the case of designing formulations.
Strong ability to make mathematical formulae program for designing index/ratio/functionality for blended system.
Continual evaluation & re-validating formulations, introducing cost effective alternates.
Researching the need of customer and provide them suitable existing grade during trial visit thought technical marketing and informing them about newly developed products.
Able to operate foam application machines like high pressure & low pressure machine, spray foam machine.
Constant communication with the companies providing raw material, catalyst, additives and surfactant for newly introduced chemicals which will help for formulations and raw material business development.
Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings and making development plan by cross research process of received product sample or product technical specification.
Dealing with the customer unsatisfied with the quality of the products and services.
Involvement in commercial regulations with legal team - DGFT
Maintaining the R & D activities, Looking after the procurement and commissioning of new instruments as per approved budget

Work Involved:
Synthesis of renewable source (vegetable oil) based polymers such as monoglycerides, FAME, polyester polyols, polyester amide, polyether amide and alkyd resins for preparation of automotive industrial PU coatings.
Synthesis of hydroxyl terminated acrylic copolymers for development of montmorillonite (MMT) clay loaded PU coatings.
Synthesis of prepolymers and trimers of isocyanate for minimization of toxic hazards for PU coatings.
Synthesis of TiO2 nanoparticles by solution and peptization method for development of PU coatings performance.
Surface modification of nano materials like TiO2 and montmorillonite (MMT) for minimization of agglomerization tendency in organic media or coatings.
Polyurea microcapsules loaded self healing anti-corrosive PU smart coatings prepared from renewable source neem oil.
Data interpretation and literature survey, writing research reports for journal communications. Characterization of resins samples on FTIR, FE-SEM, TEM, DSC, TGA, GC, GPC and instruments for evaluating coating properties.

Selected in Previous company as Product Development Officer through campus recruitment from Department of Polymer Chemistry, School of Chemical Sciences, NMU, Jalgaon.
Made significant contribution by identifying and strengthening the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for process deviations i.e. investigation to be carried with proper data collection, consultation with experts, data compilation and analysis for past similar deviations.
