Roles And Responsibilities:
A Polymer Engineer with around 1.6 years’ experience in Business Development and Project management, Project Estimates/ Techno-Commercial Operations, New Product development, Vendor management & operations and VA/VE/ cost reduction.
Proficient in gathering RFQ and specifications and coordinating the customer requirement of different commodities of Interior & Exterior parts of different variants of automotive vehicles like cockpits / dashboard, door trims, interior trims, exterior trims bumpers etc.
Deftness in end to end project planning and management involving requirement estimation and final execution of project within the budgeted time and cost parameters. Demonstrated abilities in executing negotiation with various clients on activities pertaining to finalization of deals. A keen communicator honed with managerial, relationship management, interpersonal, communication & problem solving skills.

New Product Development:
Developing new products as per customer’s specifications including finalising conceptual ideas.
Carrying out feasibility study & gathering product specifications as well as designing of moulds, tools for automotive plastic parts (Interior & Exterior Trims).
Supervising testing of proto-type models of mouldings, documentation and maintenance & getting approval for samples, making modifications and releasing same for commercial production.
Conducting trials & tests, identifying changes and making final modifications in components for production by attending to customer grievances.

Vendor Management:
Steering strategic sourcing through identification of cost effective vendors/suppliers for procurement with an aim of reducing cost while improving quality & reliability.
Assessing performance of the vendors/ sub-vendors based on various criterions such as percentage of rejections, quality, timely delivery, price etc.
Handling operations related to approval of supplier’s process layouts, trials and establishment of process at supplier’s place for moulding, painting etc.

Maintenance & Operations:
Scheduling & planning preventive & corrective maintenance for tools and dies (which are under BD & PM) as per production schedules.
Executing maintenance plans/schedules for reducing machinery downtime to minimum.

VAVE/ Cost Reduction:
Appraising the prevalent systems/ processes, identifying loopholes if any and undertaking result-oriented measures for alleviating them.
Identifying cost saving measures & modifications to achieve substantial reduction in terms of production cost, consumables & consumption.

SEMINAR / TRAINING
Attended training on APQP and FMEA.
Attended internal auditor training on TS 16949 and also certified for post of internal auditor.
Undergone intensive training on PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) & played a vital role in effective implementation of the same.
Attended seminar on SAP (ERP) & NPD (New Product Development)
