Professional Activities:
Presented a paper on “Augmented Wastage Remover” at IEEE GHTC at San Jose,
California, USA on Oct 20 – 23, 2013 and published the same on IEEE Xplore.
Presented a paper on “Mechanically Automated Light Weight Wastage Remover”
at Humanitarian Technologies 2014, Boston, Massachusetts, USA on May 14, 2014 and
published the same on Elsevier.

Projects Undertaken:
Augmented Wastage Remover
This paper proposes an innovative, Eco-friendly system for cleaning of
hazardous and light weight wastage materials on rail roads, which is equipped
with cylinders of a typical Internal Combustion engine and centrifugal fans with
mechanical gear trains.

Mechanically Automated Light Weight Wastage Remover
This paper proposes a simply operated system for cleaning of light weight
wastage materials on municipal roads. With simple piston action, we can
remove light weight wastes like dry leaves and thin plastic things. Unlike our
present day cleaners, this system does not need either Electrical or Gasoline
energy. It is as simple as pushing a wheelchair, so anyone can run this system.

Emergency Shutdown of Urea Reactor using PLC and SCADA - Madras
Fertilizers Limited.
Urea plays a vital role in farming as a primary fertilizer. Manufacturing of urea
involves action of highly toxic and hazardous reactants. In case of emergency
situations like pressure spike, manual intervention may lead to explosion due to
delayed response. This project aims in the automation of the control system in
the reactor. This can be achieved by adopting remote controlled shutdown of the
reactor through automation.
