Duties
Up hold all aspects of quality, introduce the ISO9002 systems, ensuring all aspects are correctly adhered always. Achieve an ISO9002 certificate from an accredited source. Fulfill all management functions where Production Management is required. Ensure consistent management of the both Extrusion and Blending Plant running continually to full capacity. Manage the maintenance of both departments efficiently by introducing a planned maintenance system and monitor it. Control the Dispatch & Receiving of all raw materials for production. Implement stock take of raw materials and finished products on a regular basis ensuring that the stock count balances with the stock figures on the computer system. Facilitate all the buying of raw materials and maintenance spares required. Carry out the buying of all imported materials as and when they are required. Uphold on going relationships with all customers, and visit them when required. Acquire new business with customers on a regular basis. Carry out and implement Lean Manufacturing, 20 Keys in all the areas of the company on a regular basis.

Fulfill all management functions where Quality Assurance is required handling returns, nonconforming of manufactured products. Ensure consistent management of the quality system by means of recording data and publishing reports of company performance against set indicators. Manage the maintenance department efficiently by introducing a planned maintenance system and monitor it. Control the Dispatch & Receiving of all goods in warehouse. Implement stock take of raw materials and finished products on a regular basis ensuring that the stock count balances with the stock figures on the computer system. Facilitate all the buying of raw materials and maintenance spares required. Carry out the buying of all imported materials as and when they are required. Uphold on going relationships with all customers and visit them regularly at least twice a year. Acquire new business with customers on a regular basis. Assist with the running of the factory in the absence of the Production Manager.
Carry out and implement Lean Manufacturing in all the areas of the company on a regular basis.

Upgrade equipment where ever possible. Achieve better production output and quality of products. Assist with drawings and quotes for new tooling for extrusion. Institute Quality Control and compile Quality Control Sheets for all products. Order Tools and Raw material for the smooth running of the production. Keep Raw material stock levels correct at all times and keep control of usage of the materials. Use experience and knowledge with both the Extrusion of Pipes, Profiles. Reporting to the General Manager on a Daily Basis on problems that occurred. Communicate with all staff (41employee’s) in good manner relating production and sales of all products which are been produced. Employee personal for factory positions where and when required. Be fully computer literate in Windows Me, Lotus SmartSuite, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word. To have ability to work well under pressure, yet still be able to perform to all the requirements of both Quality and Production. To assist with sales in the absence of the General Manager taking full responsibility for all sales queries, orders and also control of all other staff members and factory on a whole.

Duties:
Ensure efficient running of Companies were sent to work. Worked at two production companies for the duration of the contract. The first company placed at was for a period of 6 weeks. During this period staff was to be assessed in order to see if the employees were on the correct industrial grade and also if the salary paid to employees was correct according to the industrial rates for the production in the plastics sector. Also to act as an existing Production Manager in the factory fulfilling all the requirements of the management and to see that all targets set by management were achieved at all times. Reporting directly to the MD.
Reason for leaving: Completion of contract.

Axis (Wescon / Scantec)
The second company placed at was for a period of also 12 weeks. During this period staff was to be assed and possible positions were to be found for placing them in another company as this company was to close the branch. Stock take of stock on hand was to be carried out and assed. Also all existing repairs of items had to be completed and see that all repairs were also returned to the clients before the end of the contract. To manage and control the existing staff until the end of the contract, reporting directly to the MD of the section at Wescon.

Duties:
Ensure that all the Production departments (Rigid and Hose) are run efficiently and in a profitable manner at all times. Implement all the Quality aspects of ISO 9002 at all times, implementing the strictest routines possible. Carry out training of all employees’ where required. Control fully the Five Departments which were under my control, the Departments being Rigid Pipe (PVC Conduit Products), Ega Profile (PVC Trunking Products), Saplex Hose 2 (Soft PVC Industrial & Garden Hose products) Pool Hose (LDPE Flexible Pool Hose products), Film Blowing & Bag Making (LDPE Plastic Films & Bag products) with the total of 120 employees reporting to me. Uphold all the Nosa Five star requirements of a factory having held the five star Safety award for six years, achieving all the requirements of safety as laid out by both Company and NOSA. Ensure that all Extrusion and Injection Moulding machines are always used to their full capacity. Assist with design of New Dies and Moulds, to make drawings of new and old tooling where necessary. Order all Raw materials and Tools, which are, required running the above plants. Employee personal for factory positions where and when required. Control stock of all raw materials on site, which are production, related and to ensure sufficient stock of such materials at all times. Use experience and knowledge with the following plastic material: - L.D.P.E: HDPE: PVC Rigid: PVC Soft with the Extrusion of Pipes, Profiles. Film & Bag making, Injection Moulding fields. Carry out production planning in conjunction with sales as and when it is required. Reporting to General Manager all daily problems which occurred. Communicate with all staff in good manner relating to production and sales of all products which are been produced. Be fully computer literate in Windows, Lotus 123, Lotus SmartSuite, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word. Have ability to work well under pressure, yet still be able to perform to all the requirements of both Quality and Production. Reporting to the General Manager.
