Developed new membranes for high temperature polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells. Synthesized rectangular net shaped and honeycomb structured polybenzimidazole hyper-branched polymers and characterized using BekkTech test cell, Dynamic Voltammeter for proton conductivity, fuel cell test station, electron microscopy, tensile tester, thermal analysis, spectroscopy, and elemental analyzer [Funded by the World Class University (WCU) program, Ministry of Education, South Korea].
Developed Epoxy-carbon based polymer composites for the fuel cell bipolar plates [Funded by the National Space Lab (NSL), Ministry of Education, South Korea].
Developed floor heating fluid from the aqueous dispersion of conducting particles such as multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT), oxidized MWCNT, polyaniline and polyaniline coated O-MWCNT.
Developed new method of synthesis of polyaniline by solid-state and vapor-phase polymerization and determined their crystal structures from powder X-ray diffraction [Funded by the NSL, Ministry of Education, South Korea].
Developed water soluble polyaniline via sulfonation to enable it as an anticorrosive agent in water based paints.

Dissertation title: Preparation, properties, processing and applications of polyaniline and its composites
Developed new chemical and electrochemical polymerization techniques for polyaniline and poly (substituted anilines). Characterized those through size exclusion chromatography, electron microscopy, conductivity measurement, spectroscopy, thermal analysis, Hall effect measurement, and matrix assisted laser desorption ionization - time of flight [Funded by the Ministry of Education, India].
Established relationship of glass to rubber transition temperature (Tg) and structure of polyaniline derivatives using different experimental methods and molecular dynamic (MD) simulation.
Examined the extrinsic and intrinsic structural change of polyaniline due to heat treatment and electron beam irradiation and the mechanism for the changes are proposed.
Developed different semi-conductive composites for electrostatic discharge and EMI shielding material.
Developed an anticorrosive and anti-molding coating solution from polyaniline and poly (epichlorohydrene-co-ethylene oxide) and optimized its performance and electro-rheological properties.
