mounting of the LED lights on the machine frame for clear surrounding picture and positioning
the 4 color LED lamp which indicates the machine status.
II. Hazcam group: A unique sub-assembly for remote controlled machines. The cameras in the
assembly provide clear view of drilling progress to the operator.
The challenge was to strategically place the camera for unhindered view while protecting from
rain, dust and falling rocks.
2. 160D Machine:
I. Fuel tank: SAFETY was the most important consideration for designing the fuel tank as the fuel
(Diesel) is highly explosive requiring complete leak proofing. Achieving the aesthetic appeal
while ensuring ease of access for maintenance and refilling; and selection of suitable inert
material were main challenges.
II. Operator’s control system: A system installed inside the operator’s cabin. The challenge was to
design operator friendly panel with ergonomic considerations like switch layout with logical
sequence of operation and ease of reach.
