Deliverables in project role:
Designing, Erection and Commissioning of Lab scale Batch Polymerization Facility. (5 lts scale)
Modification of Pilot scale Batch Polymerization facility to make it capable of producing nylon-6, nylon-66 and polyester in the same autoclave. (100 lts scale).
Designing, erection and commissioning of Lab scale glass extraction tower.
Instrumental in setting up of Analytical lab; specializing in Thermal Analysis (DSC/ TGA).
Major Research Projects Handled:
Developed the technology for the manufacture of higher RV polymer in existing Toray polymerization technique, by simulation through lab experiments.
Conceptualizing, designing, coordinating the novel project of use of CNT nanocomposites for fiber application. (in 500kg/batch pilot spinning unit)
Developed different techniques of functionalisation, modification and dispersion of CNT in nylon matrix, and their characterization.
