Presently working as Project Manager – since March 1998.
Responsibility In this plant are, mould development, product development, motivational & team developmental activities and technical support for the Asia Pacific Moulding Team & WW R&D team.
Previous Jobs :
1. Worked as Director – Technical with Gopi Agencies (Imperial Group, Chennai) from April 1997 to March 1998. This plant manufactures cast polyurethane products, sheet metal products for OEM’s & home appliances. My prime responsibilities in this plant were Product Development, Tooling & Product Planning.
2. Worked as Director – Technical with Derrick Home Appliances, Chennai from March 1994 to March 1997. This plant manufactures vacuum cleaner, water treatment equipment and electric chimney. My prime responsibility in this plant was Product Design, Production Planning and Sub Contracting.
3. Worked as Senior Manager – Commercial & Projects with Pulsar Electronics Ltd., Chennai from December 1990 to March 1994. This plant has a tie up with Siemens AG for the manufacture of push button telephones. In this plant my focus areas were, Mould development, Vendor development and Purchase.
4. Worked as Manager – Development for Elpec Components Pvt. Ltd., Chennai from June 1989 to December 1990. This plant had a full range of Arburg machines including the double color. In this plant, my responsibility was on Mould development and production. Additional responsibility was costing and customer support.
5. Worked as Senior Engineer R & D with Premier Instruments & Controls Ltd., Coimbatore from March 1979 to June 1989. Was fully responsible for the development of Moulds, Dies and Die Casting moulds used in the manufacture of dashboard instruments. Was instrumental in establishing & leading the prototype shop. This division has all the conventional machines for tooling apart from EDM and a full range of state of art injection moulding machines like Arburg, Rabbit, Windsor & Engle.
6. Worked as Factory In Charge for Model Makers Engineers, Coimbatore from April 1978 to March 1979. Model Makers Engineers are one of the leading manufacturers of Hydraulic Material Handling Equipment & Yarn Counters.
7. Worked as Tool Room Supervisor with Art Industrial Tool Room, Nazareth from October 1977 to April 1978. Was in charge of the Special Purpose Tool Room machines like Deckel FP3, Deckel Jig Boring & Deckel Die – Sinking machines.
