Job Profile:
Payroll:
Responsible for preparing input file from data received from rig admin, Accounts, other departments & sending consolidated input file to payroll vendor for salary processing.
Parallel run of salary based on the input sent to payroll vendor & checking the draft output for any variance.
Checking the final salary register, Bank upload file, taking printouts of salary register & bank letters, approvals of authorized signatories & submitting the same to bank for timely salary credit.
Coordinating with bank & employee in case of fallouts for preparation of DD/PO.
Responsible for F& F Input to vendor & Checking F&F output received from vendor, getting necessary approvals & sending the f&f for employee’s acceptance.
Checking the salary jv/ severance jv & submitting the same to a/c’s.
Assisting employees in case of any query regarding Taxation, exemptions, pay discrepancies, investment declaration & supporting, etc.
Compliance:
Responsible for checking various statutory reports such as PF, Profession Tax, & TDS reports & ensuring the statutory dues are paid on or before due dates to ensure 100% statutory compliance.
Direct & review year end process for preparation of Form 16.
Responsible for preparation of retrenchment/severance compensation for terminated/retrenched employees.
Preparation of Earning jv & severance jv as required by finance dept. for Base/Sr. Managers.
Responsible for preparation of payroll MIS & other reports such as Transfer accrual, chargeback file.
Responsible for on time filing of quarterly & annual TDS returns.
Updating the UAN & other data required by PF dept. on EPFO portal.
Responsible for preparation of gratuity interest file & ensuring payment of the same to eligible employees.
Assisting employees in Superannuation withdrawal
Responsible for preparation of superannuation reports for eligible employees.
Other Responsibilities & Achievements:
Responsible for development &implementation of payroll policies to ensure that the company is in compliance with all the regulations as laid down by Govt. from time to time.
Successfully developed and executed change management plan to migrate the payroll from old vendor to efficient & cost effective payroll provider.
Successfully developed payroll Manual for payroll vendor to be followed incorporating company policies to ensure internal compliance.
Implementing best practices in payroll on continuous basis to reduce the error & follow up e.g. F&F tracker for dispatch, PF Withdrawal, Online investment declaration & submission of supporting docs, TDS reconciliation etc.
Successfully deliberated & implemented payroll procedure to reduce the payroll processing time by 3 man days.
Planning payroll schedule in advance keeping in Mind Company, bank and public holidays.
Responsible for review & updating of SOP for payroll & related activities
Assistance to resigned employees for pf withdrawal & transfer.
