Job Description

Prepare design mold design based on the concept
The study design concept was given by the design head for a feasibility study (Technical & Commercial)
Detail designing of mold and child part.
Final discussion and approval of all design details with Design head with all tolerance, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements
Prepare a list of accessories required in mould (BOM)
Prepare process plan drawings in 2D
Release list of items and design to PPC / production
Coordinate with QC, Production, Assembly department for mould validation during trials
Maintain design control during production
Modification in a drawing based on deviation raised by QC and production
Prepare final drawing after making validation with all corrections
Ensure action is taken on field complaints and trials taken
Take approval from design head after completion of detail drawing
Take approval from the design head for any design change in mould, addition, deletion, modification of BOM, and process change.
Ensure design history is maintained for easy retrieval
Minimum 5 to 7 years as Design head in a manufacturing company in the Mould industry
Educational Qualifications - CIPET / Tool Engineer / NTTF
Knowledge about Auto Cad, Solid works.
Working knowledge about tools and mould designing.
Working knowledge about new product development.
Knowledge about drawing of any type of tools (Cutting, Beading, Threading, and grooving tolls) and also product independently.
Responsibility for current breakdown due to tool development.
Reducing the breakdown time through proper developing tools and mould.
Working knowledge about the household, thermos, and SS bottle manufacturing plant to be preferred.
Knowledge about production monitoring.
Responsibility for rejection control.
Responsibility for improving production efficiency.
Well, Manpower handling skills.
Root cause analysis of efficiency loss at the production stage.
Knowledge of Design standards
Knowledge of industry norms and new upcoming technology
Knowledge of software related to mould industry NX, Mouldflow, CAD
Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques
Knowledge of plastic raw material
Knowledge of ERP
Leadership skill

KRA
Release of detail 2D drawings and BOM on time

Minimize trial/ field complaints in moulds
Minimize repeat errors in design
