APPLICATION OF MEMBRANE DISTILLATION TO CONCENTRATE MILK at National
Chemical Laboratory, Pune
Now days, the MD technique is playing an important role in the chemical
processes especially in the concentration of solutions. The hydrophobic
nature of membrane decides separability of water vapor from the hot
solutions.
The MD has wide applications in chemical engineering
field. To name a few, the MD can be used in production of ultra pure
water. Concentration of citrus juice and recovery of volite components
from the solution etc. The most important limitation of the technique is that
process solution should be aqueous.
In this project, an attempt is made to concentrates milk. Skim milk and whole milk used as process solutions.
Experiments are carried out to investigate relationship between permeate
flux with flow rate and membrane pore size.

1. HOT RUNNER MOLD DESIGN FOR PLASTIC COMPONENT LIKE WASHING MACHINE
AGITATOR AND MOLD FLOW ANALYSIS
Recently hot runner mold is gaining popularity in the field of mold
design because of its advantages like reduction in the loss of material as
sprue and so many. In this project an attempt is made to design the mold
for the agitator used in the washing machine type WHIRPOOL Company.
The model is generated with the help of cad soft ware like Pro/ENGINEER
wildfire
2. Now CAD/CAM/CAE solutions are essential assets for product
development excellence. Pro/ENGINEER provides an easy-to-use, complete 3D
solution that details the form, fit and function of products. With the
Computer Aided Engineering capabilities in Pro/ENGINEER, test and optimize
products for structural, thermal, and dynamic performance throughout
design and development using simple yet powerful simulation tools.
Moldflow analysis are easy-to-learn, 3D solids-based plastics flow
simulation products that allow plastics part and injection mold designers
to determine the manufacturability and quality of their designs early on
to avoid potential downstream problems which can lead to delays and cost
overruns
Importing CAD solid models to Moldflows complete range of
plastics solutions is easy with CAD connectivity products developed to
expedite data translation and address the challenges common to plastic
part design
