Project Title:
Study On The Influence Of CNTs On Mechanical And Self Healing Characteristic Of Epoxy/Vinyl Ester Thermosets.
Synopsis:
Due to typical structure of CNT with high aspect ratio and anisotropic structure, carbon nanotubes show characteristic mechanical, electrical and thermal properties.
The problem with nanotube is its agglomeration, uniform dispersion and the challenge of creating strong interface bonding between filler particles and polymer matrix.
Nanotube surface modification promotes intimate contact between polymer chains/ nanotubes and hence improves CNT dispersion.
