Job profile -
Production Planning & Control:
Understand customer requirements and convert it into daily, weekly, monthly and annual Plans. Adjust plans wherever there
are deviations, monitor work in progress, ensure adequate stocks of finished goods/ raw material and smooth flow of
components. Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that the Plant, equipment and the resources are
effectively utilized. Ensure maximum production efficiency and quality targets are achieved as per plan.
Production Monitoring:
Supervise production of Parts, Quality and in adequate numbers according to demand by customers, organize production in
shifts, identify and resolve all bottlenecks which need improvement, stabilize production flows in order to meet customer
demand in terms of quality, cost and delivery.
People Management:
Build a team, set targets and support the team in achieving targets, ensure discipline of workforce and compliance of all
safety norms in order to have a motivated workforce and maximize productivity. Planning for succession of the key positions
in the Plant.
Quality management:
Oversee quality testing of all incoming raw materials, in-process product and of finished product with regards to defined
parameters and provide support in case of any discrepancies/ issues. Ensure adherence to quality standards like IATF
16949:2016 & Customer Specific Requirements etc.
New Parts Development:
Ensure development of new part with in time line with all customer requirements.
Plant Engineering:
Supervise breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, utilities/spares planning, prepare budget for maintenance
department in order to prevent breakdown of machinery in plant resulting in loss of productivity.
Manufacturing Engineering:
Supervise design, maintenance and upkeep of tools, develop and implement Capex plans, identify specifications and
commission new equipment in order to facilitate smooth running of production process.
Vendor Development:
Improvement in supplier performance and capabilities to meet our organizations need. Development and improvement
(upgrading) of old vendors with new Vendors. Vendor evaluation as per customer requirement. Getting on time delivery
from vendors with good quality and with optimized cost.
Supply Chain:
Maintaining of the flow of goods and services, involves the movement and storage of raw materials, of work in-process
inventory, and of finished goods from point of origin to point of consumption. Maintaining proper inward and outward
materials from RM suppliers and Vendors. Maintaining proper stock at vendors end as well as in-house as per requirements.
Annual Planning/Strategic Planning: -
Understand stakeholder expectations and work towards realizing them by conducting manufacturing planning, manpower
planning, capacity planning, setup quality, cost and delivery expectations, review plans periodically against progress,
communicate plans to operations on a timely basis in order to cater to future needs or surges in demands. Preparation of
MIS & Annual Budget.
Statutory requirements: -
Maintain the statutory requirement so that there should not be any problems from government agencies.
Administration: -
Appropriate administration, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, communication and liaison. Administration of complete plant
which includes HR, Purchase, Stores, Account etc.
Process Excellence:
Lead the implementation of new systems and process improvement measures like Kaizens, Poka-yoke, 5S etc. at the Plant. Review the parameters of PQCDSM on daily basis & formation of CFTs in the Plant to address specific issues or to undertake
improvement projects in the Plant to ensure cross- functional participation in process/product improvement. Ensure
adherence to safety norms by all personnel in the department so as to achieve the zero-accident goal.
