Abstract polyoxymethylene (POM) was blended with various weight percentage of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) separately in a twin screw extruder with optimum conditions. The mechanical properties of the blend such as a tensile strength, flexural strength, impact strength, and % of elongation were measured. Increasing content of ethylene vinyl acetate up to 40% increases the impact strength of the POM.
